Our colleagues, Adam Freeman and Kayleigh Simms learned that their son Henry (pictured here) was profoundly deaf when he was just one day old. Adam and Kayleigh were devastated, but the NDCS offered a support network and taught them to interact with Henry through sign language. Now having undergone surgery, Henry has cochlear implants which have allowed him to hear for the very first time!
